Features:
An improved form of 'Magnus', the most popular Purple Cornflower of all time. Plants form a tall mound of coarse dark-green leaves, by midsummer bearing large daisy flowers with magenta-pink petals surrounding an orange-brown central cone. Outstanding for cutting.
Care and Dead Heading:
Grows in most moist or dry soils. Water well until established. Easily divided in spring if desired.
Planting Instructions:
Dig hole twice as wide as the container and 1-1/2 the depth. Remove container and gently massage the roots. Place root ball in center of the hole even with ground level. Backfill hole with mixture of 1/2 native soil and 1/2 soil amendment. Compact lightly and water thoroughly, then repeat. Apply 5-10cm (2-4in) layer of organic mulch & create a water basin around plant.
