Care and Dead Heading:
Plant in a moist, well drained soil in a sunny location. Fertilize in early spring with an all purpose fertilizer. Begin harvesting spears in the second year. Avoid over watering. Mow down in late fall.
Planting Instructions:
Dig a hole twice as wide as the container and 1-1/2 the depth. Remove container and gently massage the roots. Place root ball in center of the hole even with ground level. Backfill hole with mixture of 1/2 native soil and 1/2 soil amendment. Compact lightly and water thoroughly, then repeat. Apply 5-10cm (2-4in) layer of organic mulch & create a water basin around plant.
